Advent Devotions Feature Rev. Rebecca’s Work

Hey there, Friends! Our own Rev. Rebecca Dunger Peak had the privilege of being invited by fellow ministry collaborator at The Rock, Rev. Jason Buckwalter of Heartland Church of the Nazarene, to contribute to the daily Advent devotions for a resource published by A Plain Account. This resource will be a valuable daily companion to help you Prepare the Way along your journey through the holy season of Advent leading up to Christmas. It is available now on Amazon and you can find it by searching for the work’s title.

Crop Walk A Success

More than 34 walkers were part of the 2022 CROP Walk on October 9th, a beautiful Sunday afternoon.  In total the teams raised approximately $7,280 for CROP.  Locally the funds help with food insecurity and 25 percent of the total does remain in Callaway County.  Many thanks to our Court Street UMC walkers and donors.

2022 BAZAAR Time – – Our 70th One!

We are well on our way to Bazaar 2022 – – our 70th one!  We hope to make it the best ever!

The Bazaar is on Saturday, December 3rd.  The Bazaar will open at 9:00 am and close at 1:30 p.m.  We will have our regular eating area for folks to enjoy a meal of our famous chili or vegetable soup, turkey salad sandwich, dessert and a beverage.

Booths being featured this year are:  Christmas Booth, Pantry Booth, Cookies Buy the Pound Booth, and the RADA Knife Booth.  Our Gifts Galore Booth will be modified a bit and a helper is still needed for it.  A highlight – – the Bazaar has been gifted several pieces of Rosemary Zbinden’s beautiful hand-painted artwork.

Sponsors will again be sought for each booth and area.  Sponsorships may be made ‘in memory of’ or ‘in honor of’ a person or event; cost is $100 each.  All sponsors will be highlighted with “replicas of their signs” in the December newsletter.
