Rev. Rebecca Dunger Peak
Rev. Rebecca has served as the pastor of Court Street UMC since July 2014. Rev. Rebecca is originally from St. Louis, MO. Rev. Rebecca is married to Rev. Clayton Peak, they have been married for 25 years. Rebecca holds a BA in Communications-Media with a minor in Classical Studies from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) in 1992. She also holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. She graduated Cum Laude in 2000. She is an ordained Deacon in the Missouri Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church in 1998. As well as an ordained Elder in the Missouri Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church in 2003. She’s served on various Conference and District teams (Higher Education and Ministry, Board of Ordained Ministry, Creative Ministries Team, Clergy Support Team, District Committee on Ordained Ministry, District Council on Ministries, District Finance Team, District Board of Church Location and Building, a Candidacy Mentor and various mentorships). She enjoys watching the St. Louis Blues, doing anything creative, and being in the presence of her two cats, Braveheart and Kohlby.
Minister of Music
Rev. Jim West
Jim has served our church for the past year first and a half as interim music director and then as our Minister of Music. He is a retired United Methodist Pastor from the Missouri Annual Conference, having retired after 43 years of service. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Arkansas State University, and a Masters of Divinity from Saint Paul School of Theology. He plays our Organ, Piano, and Keyboard for worship each Sunday, directs the Court Street Singers and the Court Street Ringers and assists Pastor Rebecca in worship planning, especially relating to the Music we share in worship. He often fills in for Pastor Rebecca if she is to be away from the pulpit. He also plays for Saint James UMC here in Fulton at 9 a.m. each Sunday Morning and for Dawson Journey Ministries, each Friday Night at Wilkes Blvd UMC (7th and Wilkes) in Columbia. He is married to The Rev. Brenda Goodrum-West, also a retired United Methodist Pastor. They have one son, Jay. Jay and his wife Anna are the parents of four children. Johnny, Josh, Kathryn, and Jimmy.
